Reboarding
We helped an insurance organization with 700+ employees to  build psychological safety in their reboarding process.

During the pandemic, the organization experienced high staff turnover and implemented a re-organization. When employees returned to the office in the fall of 2021, most teams had new members as well as new roles and responsibilities. How could employees be welcomed back to the office in a way that boosted engagement and collaboration – effectively on-boarding and re-boarding people in parallel?

A custom-made team learning program on behaviors that build psychological safety and collaboration in teams, anchored in the organization’s core values. The material was designed to capture easily recognizable everyday situations, triggering reflection about how our words and actions impact others and what we can do to create an inclusive, supportive work environment. The solution was rolled out to all managers in a leader-workshop that also served as a train-the-trainer session. Over the following weeks, managers held workshops with their teams, inviting employees to make the connection to their own reality and identify relevant next steps.

Team alignment
Target group:International marketing team members, hi-tech manufacturing company

Market expansion and changing customer needs had put increased pressure on the team. To meet new challenges and capture opportunities, they needed to step up their communication and collaboration to better leverage cross-market initiatives and their individual areas of expertise.

A series of workshops from the Cultivate Psychological safety program, adapted to the needs and requirements of the team. After exploring the neuroscience and behaviors that drive collective intelligence, the team assessed their current psychological safety using the PSI scan. Making sense of the result together, they shared experiences and beliefs in a trust-based setting and aligned their views of the dynamics of the team. They then identified a set of prioritized actions to strengthen psychological safety; in this case, focused on when and how to ask each other for help, and on promoting risk-taking and experimentation.
